Before research begins
Request a refund before we start research on your report and we will refund the full report fee.
After research begins
Once research has started on a report, the fee for that report is not refundable. The work is underway and the time has been spent. Refund eligibility does not depend on what we find, so a report that shows a clean record or a list of concerns is still a completed report.
When research begins
Research begins after we receive your payment. We confirm the start date for your order by email. A refund request received before that date is on time.
Several contractors in one order
Each contractor report is treated separately. If research has started on one report and not on the others, the reports not yet started can still be refunded.
Your free consultation
The 20-minute consultation is free for every customer, so there is nothing to refund.

- Include your name and the contractor name or names on your order.
- We reply to confirm your request and issue the refund.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer sets how long it takes to appear.
